What is it?

Leg It is a retro arcade shoot-'em-up made by one person. You fly a neon trainer, with a masked character riding in the collar, over a night-time Liverpool waterfront while police cars, vans and helicopters chase you down. It is a cartoon, pixel-art game made for fun. All characters and events are fictional.

How to play

Move: drag anywhere on the screen. On a keyboard, use the arrow keys or WASD.
Shoot: your gun fires on its own every two seconds, so line up your shots.
Dodge: police fire bullets up into the sky. They fly slowly enough to get out of the way, but each hit costs a life. You have three.
Score: cars are worth 10 points, vans 15 and helicopters 20. Your best score is saved on your device.

Tips

Helicopters wave up and down in a wavy path, so shoot where they will be, not where they are.
Stay out of the bottom lane when a van and a car arrive together.
Tap the Sound button under the game if you want it quiet. The splash screen has a short hip-hop beat.

Install it like an app

On Android, open the browser menu and choose "Install app". On iPhone, open the game in Safari, tap Share, then "Add to Home Screen". It then opens full screen and works offline.

The scenery

The background is a pixel-art take on Liverpool's waterfront, including the Three Graces, Radio City Tower and the two cathedrals, seen across the River Mersey at night.
